AVERAGE MERIT AID AT VIRGINIA COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES 2021:
List of Average Merit Aid Awards
Ever wondered how much on average a student applying to a college or university will receive in non-need based scholarships/grants (aka merit aid)
I did too. So today I searched every college and university in Virginia to determine the average dollar amount in merit aid awards for each college.
Here is what I found for the average dollar amount of "Institutional Non-Need Based Scholarships and Grants" for "First-time Full-time Freshmen" using common data sets from 2020-2021 or 2019-2020
Of note: Some of these colleges have private scholarships not counted in the Common Data Set. For example, a majority of my University of Virginia students received multiple private scholarship offers last year including full-ride offers. Please always ask about all scholarship opportunities.
